Alan was born and raised in Quincy. He graduated from Northwestern University in 1974 with majors in Sociology and Spanish, which included studies abroad in Spain and Columbia. Alan and his wife, Joan, have been involved in the development of numerous subdivisions including Spring Lake Estates, Oak Brook Court, Kings Pointe, Breckenridge and Willow Creek including over 300 homes in excess of 80 millions dollars total value. Commercial projects include North Pointe, East Lake Centre and Prairie Crossings. Alan holds a commercial pilot's certificate and enjoys spending time with his children, Andrea and Joe, their spouses, Ken and Kelly and 4 grandchildren, Kollin, Mckenzie, Meredith and Jack.
