Real estate has been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. Both my grandfather and father had real estate licenses and were involved in buying and selling properties in the St Louis area. When I was young I didn't realize that someday I would be part of this exciting profession.

Quincy has been my hometown for over 45 years, since I married my wife Dianne. I joined the family business, Chanen's Auto Supply and I.M.I. Corp., which had stores in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. I oversaw all aspects of the business including buying and selling properties, all financial matters and the general day-to-day operation. Dianne and I raised our three sons who are married and successful. Jeff is an ear, nose and throat doctor, Mike, a tax attorney, is a professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School and Greg is a patent attorney. We have seven grandchildren.

After selling our business in October of 2002, I started my second career with Coldwell Banker Mays Real Estate. I have found this to be very exciting, working in an outstanding firm with wonderful co-workers and customers in this rewarding profession.
